MEET CECILIA

Cecilia Hupp has dedicated over a decade to serving the people of Brea. She was elected to the Brea City Council in November 2014, and re-elected by voters in both 2018 and 2022 a testament to the trust the community has placed in her leadership. She previously served as Mayor in 2017, during Brea's Centennial Year, and again in 2022.
Throughout her time on the City Council, Mayor Hupp has been a steady advocate for smart, community focused growth. She has championed housing and community development, with a particular focus on expanding affordable housing opportunities for senior citizens. She approaches her work with a spirit of collaboration, seeking team-building and partnership to achieve goals that benefit the whole community.
Mayor Hupp also considers herself a fiscal conservative at heart someone who believes deeply in prudent spending and transparency in government. She has carried that philosophy beyond Brea, lobbying at both the state and federal levels on issues such as paramedic tax reform, local control, and pension reform, always with an eye toward protecting Brea's interests and its taxpayers.
Beyond her work on the Council, Mayor Hupp is an active and engaged member of the Brea community. She opened S&S Home Loans in Brea in 1983 with her husband, Scott, and the couple purchased a home in town, where they've resided since 1988. In addition to running a small business in the mortgage industry for over three decades, she stayed involved in the community as her children grew participating in youth sports programs as a team mom while her husband coached.
Today, Mayor Hupp is the proud grandmother of three granddaughters and one grandson. Her deep roots in Brea as a business owner, mother, grandmother, and neighbor continue to shape her commitment to serving the community she calls home.
